在《Speak Now》整张专辑里，《Mean》并不是主打单曲，但当霉霉在格莱美的舞台上表演完后，全场都为她起立鼓掌。

台上，霉霉自弹自唱。换上乡村造型，控诉媒体对她的苛刻和指责。最后那句，把本应该是“living in a big ole city”的歌词，临场改为“singing this at the Grammy's”，改的太霸气了，让听者不禁为她起立叫好！

2012年2月12日，《Mean》获得第54届格莱美奖所颁发的“最佳乡村歌曲”和“最佳乡乐独唱”两个奖项。
